Techgate plc opens its new data centre in Chelmsford

Techgate is pleased to announce the opening of its new data centre in Chelmsford, Essex. The new data centre is located within the IBM BCRS facility in Chelmsford and has diverse 1Gbps network connections back to its two London network hubs in Telehouse North and Braham Street. The new data centre is part of Techgate’s expansion into providing IT Business Continuity and High Availability systems to companies in the City of London.

Techgate launches new website

At the end of 2008, Techgate appointed Maffini & Bearce, the award winning French graphic design agency to redesign its corporate website.

The resulting new website has a unique style, using specially commissioned illustrations and animations, that tells the Techgate story in an interesting and easy to understand way.

Techgate plc secures £1.2 million backup contract

The highlight of 2008 was the securing of a £1.2 million, 3 year contract from Siemens Enterprise Communications Ltd, on behalf of one of it's major public sector clients, to build and manage a 100TB online backup system.

Techgate finished 2008 with reported revenues of £3,050,000 which represents a 56% increase on 2007 revenues. This substantial growth came, in large part, from ever increasing numbers of IT services companies becoming Techgate Online Backup resellers.
